Dr Mia Morgan is a consultant radiologist and has been a member of our team since 2014.
She qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in 2001 and also has a BSc in Tumour Biology from University College London. After qualification, she completed 5 years of surgical training including a 3-year rotation at the Royal London Hospitals Trust as well as gaining a diploma in head and neck surgery. She then undertook radiology training at Southampton University Hospital before joining London North West Hospitals NHS Trust in 2013 to pursue a fellowship in breast radiology. During this time she was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Northwick Park Hospital with a subspecialty interest in breast imaging. She is also the interval cancer lead at North London Breast Screening, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
She specialises in image-guided breast intervention and has specialist expertise in biopsying and excising a range of breast pathologies using vacuum-assisted techniques. She also has extensive experience in MRI guided vacuum biopsies working as part of the MRI breast biopsy team at Northwick Park Hospital, the largest tertiary referral service of its kind in the UK. Her research interests include the management of early-stage primary breast tumours using minimally invasive image-guided techniques as an alternative to surgical intervention.
