Endovenous laser / radio frequency ablation

Performed under either local or general anaesthesia, these are minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of unsightly varicose veins. Both procedures involve insertion of a heat delivering catheter (either laser or radio-frequency) into the malfunctioning varicose vein. Heat treatment of the veins cause them to collapse and shrivel.
