Laparoscopic anterior resection

It is an ideal, minimally invasive procedure for rectosigmoid colon cancers. It helps remove any part of the upper or middle part of the rectum where the tumour is present through a few small incisions (the number of incisions depends on the technique your consultant confirms with you). Your consultant will reconnect the remainder of your rectum back to your colon.
