Our multidisciplinary team work together to provide you with a range of other breast services to help promote good breast care.
If your consultant notices an abnormality during your breast mammogram or ultrasound they will refer you for a vacuum biopsy. A vacuum biopsy is a minimally invasive technique whereby a sample of the abnormal breast tissue is removed for further review. This is done under local anaesthetic using either mammography or ultrasound guidance.
Oncology is the treatment of tumour with drugs, hormones and radiotherapy. Our breast surgeons make referrals to oncologists who work at our partner hospitals and specialist cancer centres such as Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), located in Harley Street.
Assessment of breast lumps
Our Clinic is structured for the rapid assessment of breast lumps by clinical examination, imaging including mammography with tomosynthesis and/or ultrasound as appropriate with Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) or core biopsy as indicated by your consultant and MRI if required.
