Arthrosamid

Arthrosamid is an injection to help patients suffering from knee arthritis. It is a safe treatment option proven to reduce stiffness between the joints, enhancing mobility and improving quality of life.

How does it work?

At the time of your appointment, your consultant will inject the Arthrosamid into the inner joint cavity. The non-biodegradable hydrogel in the injection which contains 97.5% water and 2.5% cross-linked polyacrylamide backbone, will help to restore the viscosity within the synovial fluid. This assists with the lubrication and cushioning of your joint, creating a ‘cushion-like’ effect.

A single dose of Arthrosamid works, lasting up to 56 weeks.
