Dr Shahram Maghsoudi

Dr Shahram Maghsoudi is a consultant breast radiologist at 108 Harley Street.

He studied at the Copenhagen University Medical School, attached to the National University Hospital, qualifying in 1997. Radiology training was followed by a subspecialty Breast imaging appointment at the National University Hospital. He was subsequently head-hunted and encouraged to move to the UK where he joined as a Substantive Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Breast Imaging at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London, with Breast screening at Queen Mary’s Hospital.

During his initial appointment as Lead Consultant Breast Radiologist at QEH, he was pivotal in the development of the symptomatic breast service. He also introduced, as standard, the practice of routine assessment of the axilla for nodes by ultrasound and guided sampling in 2005, six years before its implementation nationally.

In 2008, he moved to King’s College Hospital where he was the Lead Consultant Breast Radiologist until 2015 and remained at the trust until summer 2021.

His extensive experience in breast screening and symptomatic breast clinics include reading more than 65,000 mammograms and performing over 25,000 breast ultrasounds and 12,000 interventional procedures with no complications. His PERFORMS assessment results, which evaluate accuracy and quality of work, consistency place him amongst the top breast radiologists nationally.

Dr Maghsoudi speaks English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Persian.
