Diverticular disease

It is a digestive condition where small pockets or bulges are formed on the lining of your intestine, which can result to pain in your stomach. Surgery is rarely needed for this condition. If you do require surgery, you may need a colectomy – where your consultant will extract the affected section of your large intestine or a colostomy – where one end of your bowel will be diverted through your tummy.
