Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon

Mr Hemant Singhal is an established Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon. He has substantial experience at treating the whole range of breast conditions from breast pain to complex reconstructions for advanced breast cancer.

Mr Singhal has been practicing since 1998 when he first took up his Consultant role at Northwick Park Hospital. He was Clinical Lead for North West London Hospitals Breast Service and Senior Lecturer at Imperial College prior to taking a sabbatical to set up a state-of-the-art breast service at Medanta the Medicity. He trained in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, and St Georges’ Registrar rotation. He was a Fellow at Cornell University, New York and a Lecturer in Surgical Oncology at The University of Western Ontario, Canada. He completed his specialist training in Breast and Reconstructive Surgery, at the Cardiff Breast Unit.

Mr Singhal specialises exclusively in breast disorders including benign breast problems, the treatment of breast cancer and breast reconstructive surgery. He is part of a multidisciplinary team and works to establish a firm diagnosis as well as personalising breast cancer treatment. He is an accomplished and recognised breast specialist who was instrumental in setting up the sentinel node program in North West London. He is passionate about breast conservation with an oncoplastic approach and the early diagnosis of breast cancer. He is often approached for second opinions and complex treatment planning.

Mr Singhal has lectured widely, is the author of a number of scientific papers and chapters on the evaluation and treatment of breast disease.

Mr Singhal sees patients in Harley Street and Harrow.  The clinics have a unique one-stop diagnostic facility that provides the results of mammograms, ultrasounds and needle biopsies in a single visit. The clinics are scheduled through the week, and it is often possible to arrange an appointment on the same day.

He is married with three grown up children, and now spends a fair bit of time travelling the world and lecturing on breast cancer.
