Dr Hedley Berry is a highly experienced Consultant Rheumatologist based in London. He trained at Wadham College in Oxford and Guys Hospital Medical School in London. He started his career with a House Physician role at Guy's and then Senior House officer role at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Following this, he became a Senior Registrar in Cardiology which initiated his interest in inflammatory joint disease. After carrying out academic and clinical research, he received a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Oxford in 1973. He subsequently continued his clinical work as Senior Registrar at The London Hospital. Dr Berry was appointed Consultant to the Department of Rheumatology, Kings College Hospital where he worked for 25 years. During this time, he carried out extensive clinical research and has published a number of peer-reviewed papers in learned journals.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Berry is a lecturer at the University of London and has taught a number of generations of medical students. He has also given lecturers internationally on the treatment of inflammatory joint disease.

Dr Berry is now working in full time private practice. He has a clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis, medical aspects of back pain, as well as osteoporosis and osteomalacia. He also has extensive experience managing neck and arm pain, along with soft tissue conditions such as tennis and golfers elbow.
